since even Oli & Jenny seem to manage to update their webpage more often than me, then here's a quick waffle.

Knee trouble in February/March put paid to doing too much training (just in case there was any risk) as well as meaning I had to retire before the start kite of the Spring Cup relay. The best part of a month off sorted that out though, after which it was mainly about getting the IOOL sorted. That came and went at the end of May, and the courses seem to have gone down ok. Then was my fourth orienteering race of the year at the German middle-distance champs (see map). Considering it was the best part of 3 months since the previous race, with the races before that also in 3-month intervals, then I can't really grumble about my run. A bit hesitant at the start but no major cock-ups and running ok. 7th place on the back of what I reckon must be less than 2 hours a week training on average isn't to be sniffed at. Now to try and regain some semblance of fitness for the next race - two days of the Lakes 5. Being only 2 months after the previous race I might even be 'in practice'...
